Unstoppable Moulton Harrox Reserves are now ten games away from completing an unbeaten season in ChromaSport PDFL Division One.
The leaders beat King’s Cliffe 3-0 at Broad Lane on Saturday to maintain their 15-point lead at the top and stretch their unbeaten league run to 20 games with win number 19.
A double from Declan Earth and a Martin Sandall strike did the job for Kev Nottingham’s side, who look to have the title in the bag.
Behind them, second-placed Sutton Bridge United kept their promotion bid on track with an emphatic 5-1 success at Netherton United Reserves.
Talisman Matt Eaton bagged three of the five goals, with Ben English and Matt Wayman also on target.
Bridge are four points clear of third-placed Warboys Town, but have played three games more.
Meanwhile, basement boys Spalding United Reserves suffered their 18th defeat of the season as they went down 1-0 at Baston. Lewis Fountain got the only goal in a game that saw the Tulips’ Craig Weightman sent off.
Also in Division One, Long Sutton Athletic’s game against Oakham United Reserves was postponed.
In the Premier Division, Crowland Town were handed a 6-2 defeat at table-toppers Peterborough Sports Reserves.
Steven Paling and Luke Elsom netted for Crowland, with Gerard Evans bagging a treble for Sports.
Holbeach United Reserves also suffered a bit of a drubbing as they crashed 5-1 at Ketton.
Elsewhere, Division Two side Tydd St Mary went out of the Intermediate Shield as they were beaten 2-0 at home by AFC Stanground Sports Reserves.
A double from Dean Giglio settled the clash at the Thomas Clarkson Academy.
There was an all-Division Four clash in the PFA Junior Cup, with Whaplode Drove stunning Holbeach Bank 5-1.
To make matters worse for beaten Bank, player/boss Brett Schlechter was sent off after picking up two yellow cards.
In Division Four, Tydd St Mary Reserves were on the receiving end of a heavy beating at Whittlesey Athletic C.
Marcus Gilbertson grabbed a consolation for the Saints, but a six-goal haul from Jacob Smith fired Whittlesey to glory.
Down in Division Five A, Holbeach United A picked up a 2-1 home triumph against Orton Rangers.
Scott Burrell and Tom Cherry netted for the Tigers, who are third in the newly-formed division.
