PDFL round-up: Eaton fires Sutton to victory, Balding at double as Holbeach Reserves hold leaders, Tydd win again

Matt Eaton scored the only goal as Long Sutton Athletic edged out ICA Sports 1-0 on Saturday.

His second-half strike moved Sutton up to eighth in the table – but that still makes them the lowest ranked South Holland side in the top tier.

Crowland Town are now sixth after Martyn Fox’s late strike saw Cardea sink them 1-0 at Leading Drove.

One place and a solitary point further back are Holbeach United Reserves, who remain unbeaten after Josh Balding’s double earned them a 2-2 draw with leaders Stilton United.

In Division One, rivals Crowland Town Reserves and Pinchbeck United Reserves drew 1-1 as Ash Pratt and Mario Vaz traded goals.

Tydd also won again as Brad Easey (2) and Max Burrell gave them a 3-1 success over Kings Cliffe, but Moulton Harrox Reserves lost 2-0 at home to Rippingale and Folkingham.

In Division Two, goals from Matt Cawthorn and Sam Moses steered Long Sutton Reserves to a 2-1 win at Parkside.

There was also a 3-1 win for Tydd Reserves in Division Three, as they beat hosts Kings Cliffe Reserves.

Division Four saw Long Sutton A defeat Warboys Reserves 3-1 thanks to Mark Greenacre, Jordan Nicholls and Kye Bunce.

In Division Five, leaders Sutton Bridge drew 3-3 at Rippingale and Folkingham Reserves with Kurt Scott (2) and Robert Hook netting.
