Over 55? Get your dancing shoes on

Want to get active and try something new? Spalding’s over 55s are invited to join a fun, free evening of dance at Diamondz School of Dance Studio on Thursday, February 17, at 6.45pm-8.45pm.

The free dance event is part of First Time for Everything, a programme designed by Royal Voluntary Service to support physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, First Time for Everything gives people, particularly those that are older or less mobile, the opportunity to try something new for free in their local community, and to be social and active.

Local dance teacher Bekki Loveridge, from Adults Move Lincolnshire, will lead the Dance Around the World evening, with participants learning steps to some well-known dances from around the world.

No dance experience or partners are required, and the session is accessible for all, with standing, supported and seated options.

Light refreshments will be provided.

To register for a place at the free First Time for Everything Dance Around the World evening, contact Andrea Briggs, Royal Voluntary Service activity co-ordinator on 07468 701994 , email [email protected] Book a place or come along on the night.
