New additions for Hall ponds

A historic Spalding venue has some new residents thanks to the generosity of a local business.

Smalley House and Garden Plants has stocked the pond in memory of the business founder Roger Smalley who died in October last year.

Roger’s son Nick and his wife Sandra have donated 60 fish, including Ghost Carp and Koi to help populate the newly-refurbished pond.

“They were put in the pond ahead of the first anniversary of Roger’s passing, and it is hoped that they will give as much pleasure to the public as they gave to him,” said head gardener at Ayscoughfee Hall Jason Merz.
