Those using a Long Sutton charity have provided another bench for the community to use.
The members of the Long Sutton Men’s Shed which aims to beat loneliness in males were asked to provide somewhere to sit outside the town’s Co-op branch.
Rox Croot, the South Holland Community co-ordinator put in the request for the stout, all weather, hardwood bench.
It was constructed by the group’s master carpenter Chris Harvey alongside David Wilson and presented recently.
“I can’t wait to shout about the wonderful work the Men’s Shed has done,” Rox said.
Long Sutton Men’s Shed, based at Silverwood Garden Centre, was established five years ago and now boasts over 100 members. It is open 9am to 1pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
