Man hospitalised and road closed after car falls into ditch

A man has been taken to hospital and a road closed after reports a car fell into a ditch in Holbeach.

The incident occurred in Greenwich Avenue at 1.20pm this afternoon.

The nearby A151 is also closed as police clear the area while the air ambulance has also been in attendance.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman, said: “We received a report that a car had entered a ditch in Greenwich Avenue, Holbeach, at around 1.22pm today.

“A male driver of the car was taken to hospital by land ambulance.

“The road has been closed while we deal with this incident and diversions are in place.”
