This week saw a full complement of fixtures in the Pinchbeck and District Winter Darts League, with both divisions serving up high-quality darts and plenty of drama.
In Division A, League leaders Royal Mail Cart maintained their unbeaten record with a 6-3 home win over Pinchbeck Football Club B.
Josh Ford struck two 180s in his singles tie but was edged out 2-1 by John Gilman.
Connor Clift also hit a maximum for the visitors, while the Mail Cart’s Chris Fidler and Jack Chilvers produced 17-dart legs and Jason Vines added an 18-darter.
Connor McKenzie replied with an 18-dart leg for the Football Club.
Consti Club C moved level on points at the top with a commanding 8-1 away victory at Green Dragon A, Shayne Hubbard the sole winner for the hosts after beating Harry Faulkner 2-0.
Sean Trafford impressed with a 180.
Also level on points are Consti Club B, who ran out 7-2 winners at Drayman’s Arms.
Connor McKenna and Phil Newton provided the only successes for the home side, Newton firing a 16-dart leg.
Lincoln Arms A climbed to within a point of the top three after a strong 7-2 away win at Black Bull.
Dean Murray checked out on 102 and hit a 17-darter, while Sam Roberts added another 17-dart leg.
Pete Grooby responded for the Bull with a 112 checkout and an 18-dart leg.
At Services Club B, the hosts staged a spirited comeback after losing all three pairs games, winning five of the six singles to edge Lincoln Arms D 5-4.
Dan Gent was the only singles victor for Lincoln, beating Steve Rawding 2-0, while Tony Spinks struck a 180 for the visitors.
In Division B, Kirton Leisure extended their lead at the top with a dominant 8-1 home win over Services Club A, Lindsay Kelk securing the visitors’ sole point by defeating Jamie Clarke 2-0.
A nail-biting clash at Consti Club D saw Green Dragon Z emerge 5-4 winners, thanks to Callum Day’s decisive singles victory over Jonny Robinson, which included a 180.
Consti Club Z also recorded a 5-4 away win at Pinchbeck Football Club C.
Despite Connor Newton hitting a maximum, he lost 2-0 to Emma Tickner.
Consti Club A enjoyed a comfortable 7-2 home success against bottom side Green Dragon C, with Jamie Mumby the only singles casualty, losing 2-1 to Luke Hackett.
Finally, Lincoln Arms C staged a thrilling comeback against Pied Calf, overturning a 4-2 deficit to win 5-4.
Victories from Duane Harrison, Dave Banister and Tony Brown sealed the turnaround, with Brown, Banister, and Nigel Goodwin all firing 180s.
