LETTERS – Very hungry caterpillars!

A reader has sent in the above photo of a hedge in Holbeach which appears to be falling victim to a caterpillar feast.

The box tree variety eats the hedge of its namesake and are yellowish green with thick black and white stripes and a black head.

The small ermine moth target mixed or deciduous hedges but tend to appear during the spring.
