LETTERS – Speeding should be left to the police

I read with interest your article about recruiting Community Speed Watch Volunteers and beg to differ that they are amazing and full of achievements.

In my case I received a letter stating I had been observed going above the speed limit in Moulton Chapel and my details passed to the police.

The letter contained no evidence, no picture, had no right of appeal nor did it offer any details of who to contact to discuss the incident!

Even parking wardens provide evidence of the event!

Speeding is serious and should be left to the police to deal with not green-bib wearing narcissists.
