I note your report on fly-tipping in last week’s Voice newspaper.
As a regular cyclist of the fens, I often report acts of fly-tipping to the appropriate authority.
Most recently I came across large amounts of tipping on New Road, just off the Common Road Crowland.
Also, one of the worst cases I have seen on the Common Road itself.
There were numerous household items, even a bath. But also waste oil and engineering parts that could be harmful to our environment.
Case number for New Road is SHC-1153934 and the Common Road location is SHC-1153934.
This behaviour is disgraceful and I have to ask ‘why?’
Despite recent prosecutions I feel this blight on our landscape isn’t getting any better as this seems to be a regular location for dumping.
If it’s deemed to be on private land, it’s totally unfair on our farmers to foot the clean up bill.
