LETTERS – Defies description and belief

As Mr Timewell was a short-listed candidate to be the Conservative choice for the coming by-election, and only resigned his membership because he did not become the ‘chosen one’, to call himself a ‘true independent’ is so mind bogglingly inaccurate, that even in these peculiar times, it almost defies description and belief!
