I read (The Voice, July 2) that 37 South Holland district councillors (an excess of “dead wood” by at least 20 of the species) are to have their ward budgets slashed.
Has this anything to do with the general perception that these monies are blatantly misused in the run-up to local elections?
In your own case, councillors, you deliberately chose to mislead me, and local voters, by accusing me of giving “wrong information” when I challenged your use of such funds to support Glen Group Magazines, which many thought gave you very favourable publicity ahead of the May elections.
I strongly suspect this may have been a factor in the decision taken at council. If it was, then you have got your just deserts.
