LETTER: What’s being done about litter?

I enclose a photograph of what I picked up over the Bank Holiday weekend from the dead end just past our property.

I cannot always retrieve it all because some is thrown down the river bank and into the river.

Who is going to sort this problem out locally? I will if someone doesn’t soon.

So seriously what are the local authorities doing about this?

A few more SHDC officers or local constabulary riding about in the evenings along and around these areas may help and not let’s talk about budgets and costs, that’s just an excuse.

Disgraceful flytipping is taking place daily on all the back roads like Cradge Bank, Spalding bypass and South Drove, which will only get worse if they plan to close various recycling sites.
