LETTER: Time to improve toilets

Following a trip into Spalding this week I have an obvious suggestion for improving the town.
The public toilets are a disgrace.
Only those near the bus station are open and they leave a lot to be desired.
The toilets do not flush easily and because of this are often left unflushed making the whole area smell.
There is frequently no toilet paper, but more importantly the whole building has an air of neglect, disrepair and uncleanliness.
I only use them in an emergency and would prefer to rush home.
The toilets are not an incentive for anyone to visit Spalding and spend any length of time there.
The toilets at King’s Lynn are a pleasure to use and are kept clean, user friendly and are still free.
If King’s Lynn can do it, why can’t Spalding?
