LETTER: Houses don’t have the space

Please no wheelie bins.

A lot of the houses in Spalding don’t have the space to store these monstrosities, especially the terrace type housing.

Also as we are an ageing population (as we are frequently reminded) how are the older generation supposed to manhandle such large objects from the rear of their premises out to the curb and back again once emptied, let alone keep the inside of them clean so as not to attract the rats?

I know people complain that black bags are ripped open by cats/foxes etc, but if you have something ‘attractive’ in the bag like meat bones, do as I do and spray the inside of the bag with a very cheaply purchased air freshener and they won’t bother with it.
