A large fire led to smoke billowing across Gedney yesterday evening (Thursday).
Residents close to the blaze in an agricultural building on Gipsy Lane were asked to close windows and doors By Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue following the blaze which was reported shortly after 5.30pm.
Five fire crews and a water carrier attended the scene.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said that 25 metres of the building was damaged, as was a “large quantity of plastic flower trays, compost, pallets and machinery” while the remaining contents suffered “severe” smoke damage.
A spokesman said: “The fire was extinguished using three main jets, four breathing apparatus and two thermal imaging cameras.“
