Knights hit for six by Eastwood

It’s been a tough week for Pinchbeck United as they exited the FA Cup on Wednesday before falling to a 6-0 loss in their first home game of the United Counties League Premier Division season.
They put up a good fight in the FA Cup replay against Maltby Main, but two goals either side of the break proved decisive.
The Knights did press late on and pulled one back thanks to Andre Williams. They went pushing for the leveller but were caught on the counter, as they fell to a 3-1 defeat.
It was back to league action on Saturday at the Sir Halley but it turned into one to forget against Eastwood as three goals in either half gave the Nottinghamshire outfit a comfortable win.
After an eventful first half an hour Tyler Blake gave Eastwood the lead before two goals in a minute from Kyle-William Tomlin and Ryan Tait made it 3-0 before the break.
A Derek O’Connor double made it 5-0 after 56 minutes before Jordan Knight netted a stoppage time sixth.
Pinchbeck were due to play Skegness Town on Wednesday night before a trip to Boston Town on Saturday.
Knights v Eastwood: Edwards, Jaine, Gagyi, Kudla, Robson, Melson, Henderson, Stevens, Williams, Tate, H Johnson. Subs: Ibeneme, Stuffins, B Johnson, Sherrif, Wilkinson.
Attendance: 76
