Seniors’ Open success

Sutton Bridge Golf Club held their annual Seniors’ Open on August 9.
Sponsored by Leesons Garage, Sutton Bridge, 44 players took part in a stableford pairs betterball competition.
Committee member Colin Ess thanked all for taking part, along with Brenda Bell for doing the halfway house.
Ess was pleased to announce that £410 had been raised – £205 for Cancer Research UK and £205 for the Royal British Legion.
The prize money was presented by John Cooper, director of Leesons Garage.

Results: 1st David Lord and Peter Vinter, from Gedney Hill Golf Club, 48 points; 2nd Shaun Jackson, from Sutton Bridge Golf Club, and Daryl Watkins, Hunstanton Golf Club, 47 points; 3rd Philip Equyer and Colin Jaques, from Gedney Hill Golf Club, 45 points; nearest the pin (2nd hole) Colin Jaques; nearest the pin (6th hole) Peter Vinter.
