A penalty from Logan Tate and a sharp finish from a trialist saw Pinchbeck United beat Deeping Rangers in their latest friendly at Knight Street.
The Knights have agreed to re-sign Tate, Josh Balding, Harry Cranfield, Flynn Slater, JJ Ward, captain Joe Melson and goalkeeper Ben Martin.
Manager Lewis Thorogood said: “I am pleased with how pre-season has started but we still have a lot of work to do and want to build on our strong finish last season.”
He revealed his backroom staff as head coach Mark Melson, first-team coach Chris Wheaton, head of medical
Emma Linnett, assistant sports therapist Alana Pritchard, kitman Jamie Wheaton and match analyst Tim Coomes.
“We’ve built a team of people who share our ambition and will give everything for the club,” added Thorogood.
On Saturday, Pinchbeck welcome Boston Town to Knight Street, 3pm, for their third warm-up match ahead of the new United Counties League season.
The Knights have been given a bye in the first qualifying round of the FA Vase and will travel to Clifton All Whites in the second qualifying round on Saturday, September 20.
