Kind Spaces looks to open in Holbeach

Volunteers are being sought so a charity can run its service for those suffering grief in Holbeach.

The Sue Ryder Grief Kind Spaces team already operate the sessions every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm at Tonic Health in Spalding.
But they’d like to also have a session in Holbeach so people don’t have to travel so far.
A spokesman for Sue Ryder said: “These spaces are informal, safe drop-in sessions where anyone experiencing bereavement or grief can drop in for a coffee and a chat with other people who are experiencing or have experienced how they may be feeling.
“The groups can also be very uplifting as attendees often chat about all sorts of things, not just loss and grief. However, they know that if they need or wish to, they can speak openly and honestly about their grief and get peer support from their community.”
Sue Ryder would like to start sessions at Tonic Health’s hub in Holbeach.
“Volunteers do not need any specific qualifications or prior experience as full training will be given,” the spokesman continued. “Sessions are run on a rota for two hours per week, so a volunteer would need to be able to give a couple of hours once or twice a month.”
Anyone interested in training should contact [email protected] or visit sueryder.org/GKvolunteer
