Inquest opened into Christmas Eve death

An inquest has been opened surrounding the death of a man on Christmas Eve.

Nigel Alan Varley died following a collision with a lorry at Deeping St Nicholas between the village where he lived at Hop Pole around 11.17am on December 24.

Lincolnshire Police said at the time of the incident he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The inquest into his death was opened by Lincolnshire Coroners Court on Monday, January 16 and adjourned to a later date.
