In court over creating false invoices

A court case involving a Weston Hills man allegedly making 19 false invoices has been adjourned.

Andrew Surman (46) appeared before magistrates in Boston on Wednesday.

He’s charged with making a false instrument – namely 19 invoices that billed for gardening work at
industrial units operated by VBCIE with the intention that they were accepted as genuine.

The offence is said to have happened between June 30, 2016, and February 22, 2020.

The bench was told that the case was very involved and more time was needed.

It will next be heard on March 8.

Surman, of Broadgate, was granted unconditional bail.
