A new priest has been appointed in charge of St John the Baptist in Spalding.
The Bishop of Grimsby announced the appointment of the Rev Greg Bannister during an online Sunday service last month.
Greg’s wife Sophie will also be licensed to St John’s as a non-stipendiary Assistant Priest and they will both be licensed on February 22 via Zoom.
Greg was born in Hong Kong and spent his early years in the Middle East and South East Asia. He completed teacher training and taught psychology at a Cambridge sixth-form college before studying theology in Oxford. He spent time in the USA and began his curacy in London. As he finished his curacy Sophie started hers and Greg became a full-time dad to their daughter Lucy for 18 months.
