Horse artist thrills craft fans

An acclaimed equestrian artist gave a painting demonstration at a recent Spalding Arts and Crafts Society meeting.

Award-winning painter Jane Lazenby travelled to Pinchbeck to show how to immortalise a horse using pencil and acrylic paint.

A Spalding Arts and Crafts Society spokesman said: “Jane’s love of horses came through in her painting of a runaway horse based on a photo she took at a show where a horse called Sebastian decided it had had enough of performing and took flight.”

The next demonstration will be wildlife pastel painting by Vic Bearcroft on Tuesday, December 5 at Pinchbeck Village Hall, 7.30pm-9.30pm.
