Volunteers are being sought to help keep an historic village hall running past its current 60 years.
The Bromley Hall at Pode Hole remains busy, but more volunteers are needed to keep it that way.
The three-person committee would like to bolster their numbers, particularly with younger blood.
They would also like any body who could help as a caretaker for the hall, helping put out chairs for events and locking up afterwards.
“It’s supposed to be a hall for all the community, but we’re all getting older,” said Tina Rodgers who is both the chair and interim treasurer of the hall.
“The hall is well used by a host of groups and organisations, but we need volunteers to run it. There are more houses being built around here.
“A caretaker would be particularly handy. Someone to put out chairs and lock-up would be fantastic,”
Mrs Rodgers lives further away now than she did when she first became involved with The Bromley Hall more than 30 years ago.
The hall was bequeathed to the village by local farmers the Bromley brothers in 1958.
Regular groups which use it include the Harmonies singing group, numerous dancing and keep fit classes and a sewing club while the Fulney Women’s Institute (WI) holds its annual pantomime there.
The Pode Hall WI branch is also looking for more members. Margaret Campbell is one of the group’s organisers and another of the village hall’s committee members.
“We’d some more young people to get involved as the WI is not just about older people,” she said of the group.
The pair also run the over 60s group of which Margaret says “The aim is to get people out of their homes which is important for the village.”
