Goals from Stacy Cartwright and Tommy Treacher fired Holbeach United to a much-needed 2-0 win over Harrowby United at Carter’s Park on Wednesday night.
The Tigers went into the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division game smarting, following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Northampton Spencer – and they started superbly with Cartwright buried an Andrew Tidswell delivery on three minutes.
Darren Jarvis’ side had to wait all the way until the 82nd minute to wrap the points up, with Treacher notching the clincher late on.
The win lifts Holbeach up to tenth in the table, five points behind early pace-setters Yaxley.
There was more to celebrate for the Tigers after the game, with number two Tom Roberts revealing that a deal has been agreed to sign ex-Spalding United striker Jordan Thomas.
