Holbeach man charged with escaping custody and assaulting emergency worker

A Holbeach man on the run from the law was arrested in the town last night.

Connor Tierney, 26, of Langwith Drive has today (Monday, July 11) appeared in court charged with escaping from lawful custody and of assaulting an emergency worker.

It follows Lincolnshire Police last night (Sunday) searching around Langwith Gardens, using a drone as part of the search.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “Officers were carrying out an arrest for a 26-year-old man who was in breach of bail conditions in the Langwith Gardens area of Holbeach at around 10pm last night (Sunday).

“Specialist officers used the drone to assist with the arrest. Connor Tierney, 26, of Langwith Drive, Holbeach, was subsequently arrested and charged for two further offences.

“One charge was for assaulting an emergency worker and the other was escape from lawful custody.

“He was remanded into custody to appear at Lincoln Magistrate’s Court today. He was also put before court for breach of bail.”
