Holbeach gets re-Activated

Hundreds of youngsters descended on Carter’s Park in Holbeach last week as Activate sessions returned.

The sessions put on by South Holland District Council’s Communities team returned after a COVID enforced break and retained their popularity.

Over 500 people attended the first hour alone at last Wednesday’s event.

There was a whole host of activities to try out, from the very popular climbing wall to an amazing amount of games and sports as well as crafts and circus skills.

The Communities team is made up of Alison White and Jessica Horn.

“It’s gone really well,” said Alison. “We’re now looking forward to our other events this summer.”

Next up is the Give It A Go event at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field in Spalding on Sunday, August 21.

It’s followed the next day, August 22, with a Skate Jam day taking place in Donington where youngsters are being encouraged to get involved.

It takes place at the skate park on Town Dam Lane from 10am to 3pm.
