Man denies threatening to burn down woman’s home

A man denied threatening to set fire to a woman’s home in Spalding when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court today (Friday).

Kristopher Woodings, 30, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to a single charge of threatening to destroy or damage property.

It is alleged Mr Woodings made a threat to set fire to the property in Mears Court, Spalding, on April 27 this year.

The court heard Mr Woodings entered not guilty pleas to three offences relating to the same complainant at an earlier hearing.

Those charges relate to allegations of false imprisonment, strangulation and assault which were reported in Spalding on December 26 last year.

District Judge Adrian Lower adjourned all four matters for a trial beginning at Lincoln Crown Court on September 8.

The trial is expected to last up to four days.

Mr Woodings was remanded into custody until his next court appearance.
