Holbeach Car and Bike Show to go ahead tomorrow at new venue

Holbeach Car and Bike Show is to go ahead tomorrow (Sunday) but at a new venue.

The free event will now take place at The Lawns Caravan and Camping site on Lowgate off the A17.

The event was due to take place at Holbeach Primary School, but can’t due to concerns over the weather and ground conditions.

The organisers had announced it moving to Fleet, but it will now take place at The Lawns.

Holbeach parish councillor Isobel Hutchinson, said: “We’ve had to change venues again, as some of the Fleet parish councillors do not want us to use their playing field, and we didn’t want to risk cancelling last minute.

“However, a massive thank you goes to Paul Barnes, chairman of Fleet PC, for organising another venue at such short notice.

“We are now at The Lawns Caravan & Camping site just off the A17, and is very well signposted (Lowgate, Spalding PE12 8LN). It is a much bigger venue with better facilities, and they will also be doing breakfasts from 9am to 10am.

“We are 100% going ahead, as they have their own event today, so please spread the word and tell anyone who wants to bring their car and bike to come along. We’ll be advertising on FB and informing the press, and signs and banners will go up on the A17.

“Thank you for all of your support with this event. Lets hope it runs smoothly next year.”
