Ahead of the Junior Cup semi-final this weekend, Moulton Harrox’s hopes of a Dor-Jan Peterborough and District League double were given a boost without them even playing.
While Harrox’s game at Stamford Belvedere was called off because their opponents couldn’t raise a side, league leaders FC Peterborough were thrashed 7-1 at home by Stilton United.
Moulton are eight points behind but have four games in hand on Peterborough.
Harrox host Grimsby Borough on Saturday in the Junior Cup.
Goals from Ethan Allen and Harry Grigas gave Crowland Town League Cup win at Uppingham Town.
In Division One, Calvin Bird swooped in for a hat-trick as Long Sutton Athletic beat Stilton United Reserves 3-1 while Pinchbeck United Reserves were thrashed 8-0 at home to Sawtry.
Mitchell Johnson scored twice and Ricky Holstead once as Tydd Reserves won 3-2 at home to Wittering Premiair in Division Two.
Also in that division Jamie Hunns scored two and Lee Turner one as Crowland Town Reserves were held to a 3-3 draw by Park Farm Pumas while Whaplode Drove Rovers lost 2-0 to FC Peterborough Reserves.
Ryan Brothwell and Craig Pack netted for Sutton Bridge United in Division Three but they lost 3-2 at Park Farm Pumas Reserves.
In Division Four, Holbeach Bank won 3-1 at Deeping United A courtesy of a Deron Mazhindu double and a Tom Reynolds strike while Whaplode Drove Reserves lost 2-1 at Sawtry Reserves.
