A 93 from stand-in skipper Joseph Broomfield against his old side and 62 from fellow opener Clive Bayston sent Moulton Harrox on their way to victory over Spalding 2nd XI.
Broomfield opted to bat first on winning the toss in the South Lincs and Border League Division One match up.
Bayston and Broomfield started steadily reaching 31 for 0 after the first 10.
The scoreboard continued to tick over with Bayston reaching consecutive 50s after a series of backward point chops.
Broomfield bought up his 50 shortly after, with the score on 122 from 27 overs, the pair ticking over at just above 4.5 an over.
After a mammoth 172 run partnership, Bayston was eventually out bowled by Yuvraj Ranaut (1 for 26) for an excellent 62.
Karl Hibbert smashed a quick fire 18 before being bowled by Thomas DeCamps (1 for 16) and Cam Roy was bowled for 0, one of three wickets for Robert Seymour (3 for 18 from nine).
Broomfield reached the 90s but was then bowled for a well-made 93.
Moulton ended on 207 for 6 after a strong recovery from Spalding.
Spalding started well, reaching 33 before the first wicket was lost with Ranaut (24) LBW for Anish Surawejea (1 for 12).
Spalding opener Thomas Preston reached an excellent 50 before being dismissed by Roy who took 1 for 20 from his nine over.
After the openers, Spalding’s innings never really got started, with Paul Bullock bowling tightly and Zak Maddison destroying the middle order with 3 for 36.
Broomfield picked up 1 for 2 and Danni Jackson snuck 2 for 20.
Spalding managed to bat out the overs but fell 78 runs short finshing 129 for 8.
Credit to Spalding as it is clear to see the hard work they have put in throughout the season to develop this side.
