Garden Crawl and Scarecrow event his weekend in Moulton

The annual Moulton Garden Crawl and Scarecrow extravaganza is taking place this weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday July 21 and 22, the village will be dotted by straw based creations.

The Garden Crawl will involve 15 private gardens opened for all to see.

Attendees can pick up a programme and admission token for £2.50 from the village green from noon on both days.

Moulton Village Hall will also be open for toilets and refreshments, including a barbecue from 11.30am to 2.30pm.

Visitors to the gardens will also get the chance to vote for their favourite scarecrow.

The creator of the scarecrow voted the best in village will receive a £25 cash prize.

Patricia Ayton Smith of Moulton Community Association, said of the Garden Crawl: “It will feature 15 gardens, including some new ones and some which have not been open in recent years.”
