Youngsters (and some less young) across South Holland have been getting in the spirit of World Book Day.
Today (Thursday, March 4) people have been dressing up as their favourite characters from books.
Even those who haven’t been in school have been wearing their get-up at home.
They include pupils of St Bartholomew’s Primary School in West Pinchbeck.
A spokesperson for the school, said: “The children in school and at home have been reading their favourites stories, creating artwork from their favourite books and joining in with live author sessions.
“That staff team led a ‘Masked Reader’ competition on the school facebook page which involved members of staff reading a snippet from a book.
“Two videos per day were added to the school Facebook page in order to create some excitement in the week running up to World Book Day.
“The children had to guess who the staff members were and the winner was Charlie-Mai from Palm Class who identified 13 out of 14 videos correctly!”
