Gallery – Characters brought to life for World Book Day

Schools across South Holland got into the spirit of World Book Day last week with pupils and staff dressing up to celebrate.

From Peppa Pig and Peter Rabbit to Sherlock Holmes and Paddington, children were free to let their imaginations run wild.

Other activities taking place at school included author sessions, pupils dressing in their pyjamas and taking in their favourite bedtime story and teddy bear, a ‘Book-nic’ where children sat on picnic blankets and shared stories with their friends, a competition where children were asked to make their favourite book character using a cardboard tube and giving out book vouchers.
