Gallery – A big thank you to Holbeach volunteers

Volunteers from across Holbeach were treated to a special event at the weekend to say thank-you for all their hard work.

Councillors Tracey Carter and Nick Worth funded the tea at the town’s WI Hall where there was plenty of cake for representatives from a number of groups in Holbeach, including Chosen, the foodbank, Little Miracles, the library, Holbeach Hospital and the Royal British Legion.

“It was really nice – everyone had a Love Holbeach bag and a bunch of daffs. There was some lovely cakes and it was a really enjoyable afternoon,” said Coun Carter.

She said that the hard work of the volunteers in and around Holbeach often went unrecognised, but it was a vital part of many of the services available to residents and visitors.

“It’s the third sector that keeps those cogs turning and we wanted to thank those volunteers for all the work they do,” said Coun Carter.
