Four arrests after early-hours attempted burglary

Four people have been arrested following a call from a member of the public that a burglary was taking place at a shed near his house in Sutton St James at around 1am Friday morning.

Police said the member of the public detained one of the individuals until police arrived and he was then arrested.

Three others made off in a car and police later detained another three people.

One man, aged 40, of no fixed address and three juveniles, all local to the area and aged, 14, 15 and 16, were arrested and are in custody whilst investigations continue.
