Fisher sticks at it to clinch podium spot

Kime Racing rider Tom Fisher rode well at Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire to secure three top-five results in round four of the No Limits Pirelli Super series 600cc class at the weekend to move nearer to the top four in the rider standings.
After qualifying his Yamaha R6 in seventh place, Fisher began the first of three races from the head of the third row.
He did not get the best of starts and completed the opening lap in eighth position. However, as the race unfolded, he passed Oliver Barr on lap two and when Andy Smart retired he was elevated to sixth place on lap two.
As the race wore on, Fisher began to reel in Lee Wells and on lap six of eight he made his pass stick. He was too far away from the leaders to make any impression on them but remained in fifth place at the chequered flag.
Starting race two from the second row, Fisher immediately slotted into fourth place and ran a lonely race during the early laps. By lap five he was beginning to get up on terms with Tommy Fielding but, although he was right on his back wheel, he was unable to pass and completed the race in fourth place, just 0.3secs away from a podium finish.
In the final race, Fisher was placed on the front row for the start of the 11-lap race and completed the first lap in fourth place.
He then became embroiled in a battle for third place within a group of seven riders.
Positions were exchanged many times over the course of the next few laps and Fisher finally made it up into third place on lap five.
As the race entered the penultimate lap, the riders encountered some back markers but Fisher was able to negotiate his way past them safely and completed the race in third position to record a podium finish.
The points accrued from the three races put him to within one point of fourth place in the overall rider standings with the next round at Anglesey in North Wales over the weekend of July 15/16.
