First meeting for new Rotary group

A new group of the Rotary Network has been started and it met for the first time recently.

Holbeach and The Suttons (pictured above) combines business networking and community service and it received the congratulations of district governor David Morris.

The founding members voted on options for meeting frequency and structure and selected to meet online once a month with satellite groups or hubs to meet under titles including fundraising, community service and youth support.

There will also be an in-person monthly event with seasonal parties, bowling, quizzes and visits, overseen by the members of the social hub.

“The development of deep and lasting friendships has always been at the core of Rotary,” said a group spokesman.

The group is breaking new ground regarding how it will operate and attract members who are busy with family and working.
