Fire station fun day

Go along and meet your local firefighters at Spalding Fire Station’s open day on Saturday, from 10am until 4pm.

There will be fun for all the family, with plenty of activities taking place throughout the day, from games and raffles to seeing the fire crews in action.

East Midlands Ambulance Service and Lincolnshire Police, along with Bobby Bear, will also be at the event.

Watch Command Support Danny Hill said: “The open day is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate what we actually do, what services we offer and how we work together to make the community a safer place.

“I’m sure the BBQ and vintage ice cream bike will be a real hit, but families are also welcome to bring along their own picnic and, hopefully, enjoy the summer sunshine.”

Money raised will go to The Firefighters Charity and Lincolnshire’s Air Ambulance.
