Abbi Pulling’s amazing season in the W Series continued on Saturday win an impressive podium finish at Silverstone.
The Gosberton racer, who was second in the championship, set the fastest lap in the race and was also voted driver of the day.
The race was won by series leader Jamie Chadwick, but Pulling almost claimed second after passing Emma Kimilainen, but the pair made contact and the Finnish racer was able to re-take the South Holland star and claim the runner-up position.
“Delighted with a podium at my home Grand Prix,” Pulling posted on her Facebook page. “Coming away from the weekend with P3, another fastest lap and driver of the day – let’s try and carry this momentum into Paul Ricard.
“The atmosphere this weekend has been something else, thanks to everyone who stayed to watch in the stand and turned it on their TVs.
“The W Series produced some record-breaking figures this weekend, which is all thanks to the fans.”
Pulling remains second in the driver standings ahead of the next round at Le Castellet (France) on July 22/23.
