Farmer takes top honours

Jason Farmer took the top spot in the Tydd St Giles Golf Club Seniors’ Medal Competition.

Results: Seniors’ Medal competition – Division 1: 1st Jason Farmer 87-14=73, 2nd Paul Rushbrook 91-17=74, 3rd Joe Kellegher 91-15=76.Division 2: 1st Steve Skoulding 92-23=69, 2nd David Leedle 99-24=75 3rd Michael Barton 111-34=77.

Men’s Combined Pairs: 1st Michael Bates and Martyn Kierman 66points, 2nd Wayne Alder and Brian Newby 65 points, 3rd Jonathan Housley-Stott and John Nobbs 64 points, 4th Andy Hicks and James Dack 61 points.
Seniors’ Stableford – Division 1: 1st Michael Flint 37 points, 2nd Chris Moore 36 points, 3rd Mark Amor 35 points.

Division 2: 1st Peter Jackson 37 points, 2nd Barry Jones 35 points, 3rd Tony Stevens 34 points. Division 3: 1st Phil Whitehead 35 points, 2nd Richard Martin 34 points, 3rd Joe Connolly 33 points.

  • Sutton Bridge played host to Tydd St Giles Senior’s Golf Section in good dry conditions for golf.
    The visitors won four games to two, with the home team winners being Robert Sewell and Richard Upton by 4 and 3, and Tony Fox and TH Smith winning 4 and 3.
  • In the Norman Davis Niblick Competition Tydd hold a four-shot lead to take into the return match at Tydd St Giles in August.
