End peg comes up trumps for Borrett in Tydd Gote Angling Club match

Despite the blustery and wet weather the bream were still showing in numbers for Tydd Gote Angling Club’s latest Sunday club match on the North Level at Main Road – with the favoured pegs in the 30s producing excellent weights.

Well out in front from the always productive end peg was Steve Borrett (34), who enticed 15 specimens up to 5lb to his worm and caster cocktail for 45lb 1oz.

Second was Andrew Kilby (31), who found his customary four bream with some roach for 19lb 9oz followed by Sammy McSpadden on 26 with a big tench, perch and roach for 13lb 9oz and then Pete Emery (28) with 9lb 12oz.

Wednesday result (Main Road) – 1st Ian Benton 9lb 2oz; 2nd Archie Greenwood 7lb 7oz; 3rd Tim Cubby 5lb 8oz.
