Emily and Ryan combine to help create new mural at Spalding Tennis Club

Junior players at Spalding Town Tennis Club recently took part in a competition to design a club mural for the equipment container at the back of the courts.

Emily Walker and Ryan Bridge were the chosen winners, and their designs were combined.

Sign Design Ltd created an acrylic, weatherproof board with the mural, and this was mounted at the club.

The winners were presented with a £25 SportsDirect voucher by Councillor Angela Newton and Councillor Harry Drury, who came along to see the juniors in action.

The club offers many different group and individual coaching sessions led by Glenn Perkins and Ellie Blackbourn, with junior coaching taking place on a Saturday morning and adult sessions during the week.

A new group for adult beginners will also be run on a Sunday morning at the club, starting next month. Contact either Glenn (07903 001510) or Ellie (07388 589058) for more information.

Membership prices at the club are currently reduced by 50 per cent, with more information available on their Facebook page. Prices: Adult (18-70) – £50; Family (2 adults and 2 juniors) – £108; Senior (over 70) – £32; Junior (under-10) – £11, (under-14) – £19, (under 18) – £27; Student in full time education – £27; Social non-playing – £2.50; Additional club entry card – £5.
