Two people have been injured in a fire in Moulton this afternoon.
The incident happened in Hallgate shortly around 3pm today (April 17).
An air ambulance, at least three fire crews and several police cars and ambulances are on the scene in Hallgate.
Two people have been reported injured and have been taken to Peterborough City Hospital.
A scene guard is in place at the property this evening, Lincolnshire Police said.
A spokesman for the fire service, said: “Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called at 2.50pm to a fire in the Station Road area of Moulton.
“Two appliances from Spalding and one from Holbeach are in attendance to tackle a fire involving an outbuilding.
“There are two casualties who are currently in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.”
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police: “We are at an address on Hallgate, Moulton. Two people have been taken to hospital. We can confirm there is no cause for concern for anyone living in the area.
“We will update when we have further details and ask everyone to avoid the area for the time being.”
A resident who wished to remain anonymous and who lives nearby, said: “I was just returning home from walking my dog when I saw the air ambulance landing on the old railway track.
“Fire engines, police and ambulances were already here. I didn’t witness the incident but I know some neighbours did and helped a woman in distress in the road outside the property affected.”
A spokesman for the East Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “We received a call at 2.50pm on 17 April to a private address in Spalding.
“The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent two paramedics in fast response cars, two road ambulances and an air ambulance.
“Two patients were taken to Peterborough City Hospital via road ambulances.”
The Moulton ward district councillor Andrew Woolf, said: “I understand there has been an incident in the village involving a fire.
“I pray and hope that everyone involved in the incident is ok.”
