Elephants face Bourne opener

Spalding will start the 2023/24 season in Counties One Midlands East (South) after their nail-biting charge to promotion last season.

They pipped Stewart & Lloyds to the second promotion place by the slender margin of just four match points after the rivals ended the season locked on 76 points.
Their reward is a place at the higher level and derby encounters against both Bourne and Stamford to look forward to in their 100th year since they were formed.
They kick-off the season on Saturday, September 2 with the first of those meetings, at Bourne.
Peterborough Lions are the first visitors to the new Centenary Park ground at Drain Bank North the following week and the season finishes with the home return against Bourne on Saturday, April 6.
The Elephants will again be captained by Luke Turner.
