Donation to help homeless

St Barnabas in Spalding has made a donation to the Community Mind Matters (CMM) team to aid its homeless project.

The donation from the charity shop in Market Place was accepted by Ella’s Project.

The shop manager was pleased to be supporting groups working in challenging areas of the community.

Mark Le Sage, CMM’s Mental Health Ambassador, said: “During these difficult times with food, energy and fuel costs spiralling beyond what most households have budgeted there is already a huge demand on our services.

“Food banks are struggling with the increase in demand and the likelihood of more people sleeping rough and becoming homeless in the coming months is a real concern.”
