Darts Summer League ends with a fabulous finals night

The curtain came down on the Pinchbeck and District Summer Darts League with finals night at the Spalding Services Club.

The first game of the evening was the Ward Trophy final between the Lincoln Arms D and Consti Club C.
Consti Club C ran out 5-4 winners thanks to wins by Jack Morton, Josh Faulkner and Dean Chapman.
This was followed by the Division B Singles semi finals, successfully through were Dan Gent (Lincoln Arms D) and Jacob Herd (Consti Club C) at the expense of Tony Spinks (Lincoln Arms D) and Richard Barker (Services Club).
The Division A singles semi finals saw wins for Jimmy Tennison (Green Dragon B) and Paul Blow (Lincoln Arms A) overcoming Steve Gaughan (Lincoln Arms A) and Jay Taylor (Green Dragon B).
The Knockout Cup final between Riverside Inn and Consti Club C saw a close battle, with Riverside winning 5-4, thanks to Jonny Pell, Ady Smith and Tony Clark.
The first individual final of the night was the ladies’ final between Stacey Banister (Lincoln Arms D) and Sharon Barnard (Riverside), Banister taking the title with a 2-1 victory.
The Captains’ Cup final between Paul Faulkner (Consti Club C) and Gent was a 2-1 win for Gent.
The mixed pairs final saw Kayleigh and Paul Blow playing Gent and Banister, who won 2-0 against the father and daughter duo.
The Division B pairs final saw Paul Faulkner and Chapman (Consti Club C) take on Mark Dixon and Gent (Lincoln Arms D), with Dixon and Gent taking the title 2-0.
The Division A Pairs final was a tight match with Paul Blow and Sam Roberts (Lincoln Arms A) playing Jason Williams and Taylor (Green Dragon A). Blow and Roberts coming out on top with a 2-1 victory.
The first of the singles’ finals for the title of Division B Champions saw Gent and Herd fighting it out, with Gent winning 3-1.
The Division A singles final between Paul Blow (Lincoln Arms A) and Jimmy Tennison (Green Dragon B) was another entertaining game that went to all five legs with Blow coming out on top 3-2.
The final game of the evening for the Mark Tansley Trophy between newly crowned Summer League singles’ champion Paul Blow and last Winter season’s singles’ champion Karl Rolfe (Lincoln Arms A).
Completing a very successful night, Blow was the victor 3-0.
