Darts round-up: Consti A seal Spalding and District League’s top title in style

Consti A sealed the Spalding and DIstrict Darts League Division One title with an emphatic 5-2 win against close rivals Tigers A.

Tigers took the first two games, but Consti won all five singles with wins coming from Nick Moyses, Andy Bingham, Logan Goddard, Steve Urch and Jason Vines.

On the night there were 180s for Dave Piccaver and Moyses, a 100 check-out and a 15-dart-leg by 16-year-old Goddard, a 15-dart-leg for Vines, 17 darts for Andy Biddly and 18 darts for Urch.

Elsewhere in Division One, Tigers C had a comfortable 5-2 win over Lincoln Arms with Duncan Hunt hitting two 180s, Simon Hill having a 14 and 18-dart-leg and Steve Stancer having a 16-dart-leg.

The final game in Division One was Green Dragon beating the Rose and Crown 6-1.

Rose and Crown’s only winner was Hank Watson, who hit a 180 and an 18-dart-leg.

Ian Lawson also fired in a 180, while there were big check-outs of 120 for Duggie Mcinerney and 133 for Darren Norton.

But player of the night, who recently won two PDC Challenge Tours, was Scott Williams who had a 180, a 13-dart-leg and eight scores of 100 or more in his three-leg win.

In Division Two, Tigers B sealed their league title with a 5-2 win over the Drayman’s Arms.

After winning the pairs and triples, singles wins from Richard Brooks, Phil Horspool and Ian McGreery sealed the win.

On the night there was a 102 check-out by Lesley Chamberlain.

Second-placed Consti D kept up their good season with a close 4-3 win against the Royal Mail Cart.

Captain Ady Smith went on last to seal a 2-1 won against Lee Purvis to get the victory for his side.

During the game, Ady Smith fired in a 180.

Elsewhere, Abbey Hotel had a comfortable 5-2 win against Oscars Bar.
