Spalding’s South Holland Centre will be hosting a darkly funny and moving theatre production this month that’s fresh off the back of sell-out runs in London, Edinburgh and Germany.
Adrian Berry’s acclaimed production From Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads tells the tale of Martin – a socially awkward young man with a head full of sound and vision and an obsession with pop legend David Bowie.
Martin (pictured) receives a letter on his 18th birthday from his absent father which hurls him on a thrilling adventure through London, in Bowie’s footsteps.
This unconventional pilgrimage leads Martin to discover some long-hidden truths about himself and what follows changes his life forever.
With a solo actor playing both Martin and all the characters he meets on his journey, the voice of comedian Rob Newman and a blistering Bowie soundtrack, this show is heart-warming, poetic and vivid.
Following the performance, and in an exclusive for the Spalding date of the tour, there will be an optional discussion with writer and director Adrian Berry.
This provides an ideal opportunity to learn more about the writing and development process, staging, directing or any other aspect of producing a new piece of work.
You can see this exceptional performance at the Centre on Thursday, February 9, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £11 or £7.50 for under 26s from 01775 764777, online at www.southhollandcentre.co.uk or in person at the box office.
